Manufacturing Procedures of White Tea
Step 1
Pick out the inclusions and old leaves from the new picked fresh buds or leaves.
Step 2
Put the fresh buds and leaves on the bamboo sieves evenly.
Step 3 Withering
Usually adopts Outdoor Sun-withering, Temperature: 15 degrees to 25 degrees, last for 40 to 60 hours.
When there is no sun and at night, we adopt indoor withering, temperature is controlled at 20 degrees to 25 degrees, last for 16 to 24 hours.
When the moisture content is about 12% to 14%, it can be carried on to the next step.
Step 4
The withered buds and leaves are removed from bamboo sieves and stored for two to three days.
Step 5 Baking (drying)
Using the bakery machine to fix and lock the aroma and freshness of the white tea. The temperature is about 50 degrees for 30 minutes.
Step 6 Re-baking
If the client requests the white tea be re-baked by charcoal baking or electric baking, charcoal baking uses the charcoal baskets, and electric baking still adopts bakery machine.
Step 7 Finished White Tea
Packaging the tea and apply the testing for pesticide residues and harmful substances accordingly. Testing report will cost 7-10 working days.
